What are some mechatronics mini-projects

MBZIRC

The Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC) is an international robotics competition that takes place every two years at the KHALIFA University in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and for which prize money and team sponsorship totaling 5 million . USD is written out.

After the robotics team of the MASKOR Institute of the FH Aachen had qualified from 143 applicants for participation in the robotics competition in 2015 and had also successfully mastered the two preliminary rounds of the competition and thus further qualified for the final participation, our robotics team took off With a lot of luggage and a lot of fighting spirit on the way to Abu Dhabi in March 2017. There it came last at the MBZIRC, which is a remarkable success, because compared to the other participating teams, our team was a relatively small one and a newcomer at the MBZIRC. Our team consisted of students, employees and professors from faculties 5 (electrical engineering and information technology) and 8 (mechanical engineering and mechatronics).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Gebhardt, Dean of the Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Department, is delighted that our team has even made it this far: "Our robot boys came in 14th in Abu Dhabi. Given the class of the event, that is equivalent to a world championship , a great achievement! "
