What do you think of Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell's 3-year-old son steals America’s Got Talent premiere

If Simon Cowell ever decides to step down from his duties as America’s Got Talent, he won't have to look far to find his successor.

The show's co-writer, producer, and juror brought his three-year-old son Eric to the set of the talent contest for the Tuesday night premiere, and the little guy proved he can beat that all-important buzzer as well - and with as much joy - as his father.

Eric couldn't hide his love for "the scary buzzer" and squeezed it repeatedly as he sat at the blackboard. "Are you trying to do my job?" Asked Cowell.

Oh yeah.

And this isn't the first time Eric has auditioned to follow in his father's footsteps. Just last month he was featured on “Britain’s Got Talent” and boldly declared: “I’m daddy's job now!” and "Let's do this!"

Despite the Tyne's no-nonsense attitude, he also showed a softer side by giving his father a big kiss.

As for Cowell, he's already convinced that Eric has great talent when it comes to "Got Talent".

“He's a brilliant judge,” proud Pop recently told Extra. “I watch him, and when he likes a role he's usually right, and when a plot is a little boring and he loses interest, he's usually right. He loves to blow the buzzer. He's got a real feel for it. "
