Why is Barnes Noble so expensive

Barnes & Noble and Lenovo present an affordable Nook tablet with a 10.1 inch HD display and 10 hours of battery life

Lenovo has announced a new Barnes & Noble tablet in a press release, which is the first device ever to be developed as a joint project by the two companies. The device looks very similar to its predecessor from the front, but there has been a serious change in the rest of the housing, which is now made entirely of metal.

So far, neither Lenovo nor Barnes & Noble have given details of the technical data, so it is unclear which Android version runs on the tablet. The resolution of the 10.1 inch "HD display" is also not specified, but the predecessor from 2018 offered at least 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with a pixel density of 224 PPI, so that one can assume at least the same resolution. The tablet, which weighs 420 grams, promises a battery life of up to ten hours.

Lenovo relies on an unspecified SoC with eight processor cores and clock frequencies of up to 2.3 GHz as well as 32 GB of flash memory that can be expanded via a microSD memory card. Via the Nook app, users can access all of their ebooks that have already been purchased. The new Barnes & Noble Nook 10 HD tablet is to be offered in the USA from the beginning of April for a recommended retail price of 129.99 US dollars (approx. 109 euros), information on a possible launch in the rest of the world is still pending.
