Why is my cat ear twitching

Frequently asked questions

Why is my cat shaking?

The first cause can be fear. However, the tremor can also mean positive tension, for example when the cat has just returned from the hunt and is still in an excited state. Many cats respond to pain by trembling. If the shaking is accompanied by depression, curling up, and apathy, the cat is obviously suffering, especially if the shaking is prolonged. In very bad cases, however, the tremors can be a symptom of poisoning or even kidney failure.

What can I do against it?

First and foremost, you should watch your cat closely and keep calm. If pain is the reason for the tremor, feel your cat carefully, if she allows it. If you discover other alarming signals, such as extreme fatigue, a sickly appearance and the tremors persist for some time or get worse, you should seek medical advice immediately. The quickest way to do this is through a paw doctor.
