Why do professors sleep with their students

Professor / Student Relationship - Impact on Student?

Professor / Student Relationship - Impact on Student?
Hello dear forum, maybe someone can help me here? What if a professor has a relationship with a student and it comes out? Does this have any negative effects on the student (apart from the talk)? I'll write a story in which something like this occurs and I would appreciate any help. Thank you very much in advance!

When it comes to fiction, you can get inspiration from various other authors. I really liked "The Campus" by Dietrich Schwanitz. This book also gives you a nice insight into the corrupt university system.

In Germany a relationship between examiner and student is not illegal, at most it is morally questionable because of the relationship of dependency. There is no uniform handling here, since the statutes of the universities are very different depending on the sponsorship (state, private, church).
If the student gains an unlawful advantage or receives it from the examiner, disciplinary proceedings can be initiated against the examiner or the employment relationship can be terminated. In the case of the student, the examination board will then discuss the consequences. In serious cases (in the case of intent, deception), in addition to the revocation of the examination performance, de-registration can also be proposed.

Re: Professor / Student Relationship - Impact on Student?
Relationship between professor and student is probably much more common than between student and professor, because women do not date "downwards". However, it is generally known that women generally lead relationships primarily for personal gain and that they act very opportunistically. So I would generally forbid a "relationship" between professor and student. The de-registration should follow and a prison sentence should be imposed.

Both professor and student are male in history

..... I don't know a gay couple, but we have a computer science professor with a student; And if you have university events, something like award ceremonies or lectures and a standing reception afterwards, it is of course also there. We once had a student who was even married to one of our professors and she was part of his courses (I don't know whether he rated her as well). No sane person will assume that if they are married to someone who are not talking about whatever.
So what?
All grown up. I don't think it will be any different with gays - except for the usual outing stuff. But that too will probably be done soon, since at least the professor has to tick this in the personnel sheet when hiring if he lives in a registered civil partnership (as is the case with "marriage").

I myself had former classmates in my class; I once held a supervisor (large course), I wanted to say hello afterwards (hugging and such ...), but the "student" disregarded me. Well then. I wouldn't have cared and I would have been happy to have a coffee afterwards. However, we are / were not together either ... neither in school nor in university.

Thank you for your answer, snowed by! Are you a lecturer yourself?

Perhaps I should have expressed myself more clearly, in my story the student is and was also graded by the professor. What is the situation like here?

Thanks for the answer, yurist! Do you know if it's banned at a state university?

In terms of private life, it differs from university to university, I assume?

What do you mean by resolution?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

If it is to be absolutely forbidden, then you have to move your story to the USA.
