How do I get an uninterrupted internet connection

The displayed DSL bandwidth in the 1 & 1 DSL router is too low

Your 1 & 1 DSL router indicates that the DSL bandwidth is too low? This article provides you with important information and possible solutions.

Follow these instructions step by step to find and eliminate the cause of the insufficient DSL bandwidth. After each step, test whether the wrong bandwidth is still displayed.

Disconnect your 1 & 1 DSL router from the mains and then reconnect it to the mains. Now wait 1 to 2 minutes until the 1 & 1 DSL router has completely restarted and is ready for use.
Make sure that your 1 & 1 DSL router is connected to the first telephone socket and that this telephone socket is not connected to any other telephone socket. If extension cables are plugged between the telephone socket and your 1 & 1 DSL router, remove these extensions.
Open the user interface of your 1 & 1 DSL router. To do this, enter in the address line of your browser (Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer or similar) a.
