How good is IIM Raipur

Strong with a scholarship - ISM student honored as a WiWi talent

When Gilbert Lucien Ludeker began his master's degree in Hamburg two years ago, a full scholarship from the ISM supported him. Today he is about to graduate and can look forward to being accepted into the WiWi-Talents program. With this initiative, WiWi-Media AG and partners from business are promoting the most talented junior managers in management.

Determined, but ready for new challenges and experiences - that describes the business psychology student very well. Before completing his master's degree at ISM, Gilbert Lucien worked for the sports rights marketer Sportfive, as an intern, as a working student and finally as an associate. This also gave him the opportunity to devote himself to other projects during his studies. He played football with refugees and took a lot of time for a special friendship. “I got to know a neighbor who got cancer early and was very limited. I listened to him, kept him company, and did his shopping. I am very grateful for this encounter, ”says Gilbert Lucien. He also gathered a lot of extraordinary impressions during his semester abroad in India. As the first ISM student ever, he went to the Indian Institute of Management in Raipur. “A semester abroad in such a diverse countryso incredibly different from our world here in Germany - it wasn't easy, but I wouldn't want to miss my experience. I made new friends, was introduced to their families, and was allowed to see their homeland and their habitat up close. It is precisely these experiences that, while studying, far exceeded my expectations - I returned from India more modestly and more gratefully. ”Gilbert Lucien also maintains his open-mindedness when looking for a job. “The course in Psychology & Management, with its focus on human resources, gave me a very good insight into the tasks that can await me if I take on managerial responsibility in the field of management or marketing in the future, which is my goal in the medium to long term. In spite of my great affinity for sports, I have not yet decided on an industry and I am looking forward to the next exciting chapter in my life. "
