Does God deserve us

God doesn't give you what you deserve. Be happy and grateful for it

Reading time: 1 minute

Many centuries before Jesus came and God offered us the New Covenant with Jesus, it was prophetically announced in the Psalms that God's grace, which we did not deserve, would reconcile us to God:

“The Lord is merciful and gracious, patient and full of great grace. He will not reproach us forever or be angry forever. He does not punish us for our sins or treat us as we deserve. ”(Psalm 103, verses 8-10; New Life Bible Translation)

It's great that God doesn't judge us according to what we do, but that he looks at what Jesus did (namely, Jesus took all of our punishment upon himself). It's nice that we don't get what we deserve for our sins. Because we all - without exception - fail and would never be suitable to live with our perfect Creator.

Jesus took upon himself our punishment for the sins we have committed and will commit in the future. We are no longer accused or condemned by God because of Jesus: “So now there is no longer any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus; for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death " (Romans 8: 1-2). God loves us so much that he doesn't give us what we deserve.

Have a wonderful day in recognizing that delightful love.
