Ganges the longest river in India
The longest river in India is the Ganges with over 2600 kilometers. It rises in the Himalayas and flows through India and Bangladesh. Its longest tributaries are the Gumti and Yamuna. Since it flows through the most densely populated region of India, it is very dirty.
Despite the dirt, up to 80,000 people make a pilgrimage to the holy river every day to break the cycle of death and rebirth. The ritual bath in the Ganges is a Hindu duty. The river ends in the Bay of Bengal.
Hinduism is the most widespread religion in India with 80.5%, followed by Islam with 13.4%, Christianity with 2.3%, Sikhism with 1.9%, Buddhism with 0.8%, Jainism with 0.4% and 0.6% are other religions. In Hinduism the cow plays an important role, it is inviolable.
In many Hindu scriptures the cow has the status of a god. (Temple in New Delhi) The term Hinduism did not become common until the 19th century. During the partition of India in 1947 and the Bangladesh War in 1971, there were massive riots between Hindus and Muslims. Sports
Many of the sports practiced in India come from England. Cricket, for example, is very popular. In some regions there is so much play that the clubs there are even better than the clubs of the English.
In second place is hockey. Football is even played in some parts of the country. India is currently in 143rd place in the FIFA world rankings.
There is a lot of poverty in India, more than a quarter of the population is too poor to afford enough food. The rate of the poor is particularly high in rural areas. The poor people live in slums where they don't even have water to shower because the government in these areas turns off the water at a certain time.
Many of the Indians are even too poor to afford toilet paper, so they clean their faeces with their left hand. The left hand is therefore considered unclean in all of India and must not be used as a greeting, for example.
The history of India
India is one of the oldest civilizations on the western continent. It is one of the oldest high cultures in the world. The history of the Indus culture goes back to 3000 years before our era.
Researchers suspect that the earlier Aryans invaded the Indian region around 1500 BC and mixed there with the indigenous peoples. Under these circumstances, Hinduism arose. Hinduism is older than Buddhism, since it was only in the sixth century ..... [read full text]

The reason why it is still used is because of the eternal law of the world, the "Dharma". The Dharma is very important in Hinduism and must be observed. According to Hinduism, a person who adheres to the Dharma and the caste system is said to be born in a higher caste in his next life.
A person who does not follow the eternal law of the world should end up in a worse caste after his rebirth. As a result, every Indian is bound to remain in his caste and to hope for a good rebirth. In the caste system there are four different classes, the "varnas".
In addition to the Varnas, there are about 3000 subcastes, the Jatis. However, according to the religious conception, the Jatis do not subdivide the social groups, but the various professions and origins. According to the mythological idea, the Varnas are parts of a creator god.
This Creator God is about Brahma. The first layer represented as the head of the Creator God are the Brahmanas. The Brahmanas are wealthy priests and scholars, only they are allowed to read and study the Vedas. Vedas are collections of religious texts in Hinduism.
The second layer are the Kshatryas, they are imagined to be the arms of God. The Kshatryas are the warriors, rulers and nobles. The third layer are the Vaishyas, they are said to be the legs of Brahma. The Vaishyas are merchants, wealthy artisans and merchants.
The last and largest layer are the Shudras. The Shudras represent the feet. They are poor artisans, tenants and farm workers. They are meant to serve mythology according to the other three castes. There is actually a fifth layer in India, the Dalits. They are beggars and cripples.
This stratum also makes up a relatively large part of the population. The Dalits are portrayed as untouchables who are far from any divinity. Because they are so unclean, they were excluded from the system. The “untouchables” have hardly any rights, little education and therefore little chance of a good B ...

The values have continued to rise since 2005. While there were 6.5 million inhabitants in 2005, the number rose to 8.5 million by 2012. However, since 2005 the number of employees fell from 400,000 to just 250,000 IT employees by 2012. The reason for the decline in the number of employees is largely due to the new technologies, which require fewer employees.
But Bangalore is not only used for industry but also for tourism. Many residents can benefit from it. For example, hotel stays in Bangalore are among the most expensive in Asia. But you can visit the beautiful city with its temples, parks or botanical gardens during the day.
The actual name for the so-called “Bollywood film” is “Hindi film”, but it is known as “Bollywood” among most of the people. The Bollywood films are produced in Mumbai, the former Bombay. Although the film industry has been around since 1930, it had its breakthrough in the 1960s-1970s.
The Indian film industry in Mumbai is the most productive in the world, not the American one in Los Angeles as most would think. The term Bollywood originated in the 1970s, the cross of Bombay and Hollywood results in Bollywood. The films are particularly known for their singing and dance numbers.
Every year 3 billion people watch a Bollywood film. A Bollywood film should contain all 9 rasas: love, heroism, disgust, comedy, horror, wondrous, anger, pathos and peace. A typical romance is about affairs between rich and poor. Women sing of eternal love and men take on the role of conquerors, but also shed tears from time to time. Every Bollywood film has 5-8 dance and singing interludes, each of which lasts up to 10 minutes. In contrast to western films, kissing and sex scenes are seldom shown in Bollywood films, these scenes mostly only appear in low-budget productions.
If something like this does happen in large productions, it is received with great indignation in the media. A famous example of this is the lesbian romance "Fire - When love catches fire". Most of the viewers from India are poor and dream, while watching the Bollywood films, of the same life, therein lies the secret of Bollywood, the film city sells dreams to get out of the .....
